What Those of Us in STEM Education Could Learn from Porsche Engineers & Lucasfilm Visual Artists?

Somehow, we must start trusting each other to make significant progress or create something epic! The United States is still leading in innovation, but for how long with China and other countries trying to out compete us?

Check the collaboration between the team from Porsche and Disney come together and build the Star Wars Tri-Wing Spaceship. According to Julybien Atadero of HotCars - HotCars - News and Informative Reviews on the Automotive Industry, "Seven designers from Porsche and Lucasfilm worked in their respective studio to come up with the concept for the new fantasy starship as part of the promotion of a new Star Wars film. The designers only had two months to complete the project, but it was enough time for them to come up with a final design as well as a detailed Tri-Wing model that made its debut at the film premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in December 2019."

What those of us in STEM education could learn from engineers and film industries? Because we are in the business of developing and molding the next tomorrow's brilliance and kids who will engineer the next breakthroughs and innovations, to create the next generation's brilliance, we need to trust each other, stop working in silos, and collaborate!
