Writing A Second Book on STEM & the BIPOC Community. And Coach Keith McNally is Coaching Me!

I started another journey in my career based on my passion and desire to bring awareness to the importance of pursuing college and a career in the STEM fields and the benefits to our BIPOC communities. I am writing my second Book on #stem and the #bipoc community. Although my first Book, "Have You Ever Wondered How the Tortoise Got Its Cracked Shell? An Adaptation of the Elders' Story Shared With Us as Children in Africa," was a children's Book, my second Book would require all the coaching I could get from a coach.

Although initially intimidated, after carefully considering the source of fear, I was inspired to write my next Book about STEM education and careers because of Dr. McNally's Book, "Walking the Path." I have a story rooted in my community and a passion for STEM education that could make a difference in my community. It was exhilarating talking and flushing out my thought and ideas on STEM and my community with Dr. McNally.

To this effort, Dr. Keith McNally is coaching me with my second Book, which will be around 200 pages. I feel like I am like the character "John" in Dr. McNally's Book, who is about to embark on a journey, leaving my comfort zone of mediocracy to daring myself to contribute to what could be relevant to my community.

STEM/STEAM is vital to our communities because our communities' health, economy, and future depend on our solid foundation and participation in innovation in the STEAM fields. And I hope watching my coaching session and conversation with Dr. McNally about my desire to write a book on my perspective on STEM and our BIPOC community will bring awareness about the importance of STEM education as a source of empowerment that could better position the next generation and help increase our representation of the BIPOC communities in the STEM fields. And I hope you will someday write a book like me.
